Programming Expertise: Give us your eCabinet or AutoCAD file – or even a hand sketch – and we'll prepare it for machining on our CNC router.

Custom Machining: All parts are expertly machined on our state-of-the-art CNC router to the most exacting tolerances with all necessary joinery, adjustable shelf holes and hardware mounting holes. After machining, parts are labeled with the part name, cabinet number and job name. More info: Custom Machining

Non-Standard Parts: From a one-piece prototype to a thousand-piece production run, NorthWoods can tailor a CNC solution for machining your non-standard parts. Some of our projects have included:

  • Machining templates for 100-foot power-generating windmill blades
  • Machining an exact match for a large quantity of cedar balusters used in a restoration project
  • Machining 1500 wood-veneered phenolic panels for use on the front façade of a large hospital casework
  • Laminating & Veneering: For hard-to-find veneer and laminate panels, we can lay up flat, stable custom panels – up to 4' X 10' – on our in-house hot press.
  • Full line of standard and specialty veneers

Edge Banding: We'll save you time and money by applying PVC or wood veneer edge banding – from .018" to 3mm – to your parts in-house.

Inlaid Carvings: Add a bit of whimsy or elegance to cabinets or raised panel doors with a design from the Vector Art 3D Collection. From animals and ornaments to icons and professional symbols, all designs are artfully crafted with our CNC router for a detailed, hand-carved look at a fraction of the cost.

Dovetail Drawer Boxes: Economical and perfectly fitted dovetail drawer boxes, available in industry-standard solid lumber or in a wide range of plywoods. We no longer machine on our CNC, it was too time consuming to run dovetail drawer boxes. We still offer them but we machine them the conventional way. They are also available clear coated as well as notched and drilled for Blum Tandem Drawer Slides. More info: Dovetail Drawer Boxes

Custom Molding: Our CNC custom molding capabilities enable you to order short runs of special molding, machined with standard tools, avoiding the expense of custom-ground knives. We can run virtually any profile in solid wood or PVC. In addition we have carved and cut Balusters for outside deck projects. More info: Custom Molding

Countertops: A wide variety of solid surfaces and laminates are available from our certified fabricators.
